To change your password, you’ll need to log into your bench account online or in the mobile app. From here:
1. Click Settings’
2. Under ‘Your security’, click the pencil next to ‘Password’ or ‘ PIN’
3. Enter your old PIN or password and choose a new password or PIN
If your bench card is misplaced or you wish to block the card temporarily, simply login to your bench account.
Click on xxxxxxxxx.
Then click on “Block”. A pop up box will appear asking if you are sure you want to the block the card. You can also “Unblock” your card here.
The card will then remain inactive until you “Unblock” (reactivate) it. If you decide that the card is lost then you are able to order a replacement card for a $5.97 charge.
1. Login and click ‘Cards’ at the bottom of the page
2. Click on ‘New’
3. Click ‘Replace a lost card’
4. If you’re happy with the card design and that your address is correct then click Place order
The new card will be with you in 7-10 working days.
Please note:
• The new card will need to be activated once it arrives.
• The existing card will be cancelled immediately.
• To enable contactless you will need to complete a successful Chip & PIN transaction.

To activate your card, log into your account on the website or mobile app, select xxxxxxxx and then select ‘Activate’ and follow the step-by-step instructions. Once you’ve finished the process, your username, password and PIN will be displayed to you on screen!
The PIN will only appear for 5 seconds, if it disappears too quickly, you can retrieve it at any time by logging into your bench account and selecting ‘Cards’ and then ‘PIN’
You’ll be asked for the last four digits of the 16 digit card number on the back of the card during activation, so make sure you’ve got it handy!
To change your card PIN to something more memorable, take the card to a PNC cash machine and select ‘Reset PIN’. Here, you will be prompted to enter their current PIN before choosing a new one.

You can retrieve your PIN at any time either on the app or the website. To do so, please follow these instructions:
On the app and the website:
1. Log in to your bench account
2. Click the Card icon at the bottom of the screen
3. Click ‘PIN’ and enter your bench password
4. Your PIN will be revealed on screen for approximately 5 seconds
If you need to view the PIN again, please enter your password again and the PIN will re-appear.
